End of Year 2008!
yeah, it'e the end of year 2008 pretty soon. Everything is like so fast, and I'm now a working adult. No more studies for me, something I've been doing for a quarter century. I thought I've been looking for this day to come, but when it's here, I kindda miss those days.... enjoying my life with my frenz, pia-ing some last minute studies for the exams, and going for trips to award my well-deserved holidays... these days are gone......
While I'm slowly anticipating the year end to come, I was wondering what I've done during my year. Basically nothing much i guess... hahaha...I guess the most meaningful event will be to complete my final year project and going to Japan for my graduation trip. :) (okay, to be exact, it's only the grad trip that I'm most contented with..haha) Perhaps another thing that I'm happy about is to get into the field that I like. Thought it's still early to tell, but I still see hope in it. I've heard frens who have great aspirations about their job before graduating, but started to dislike once they're in it. At least for the very present I'm still seeing some light and planning to pave my way in this field. But who knows, I might end up selling insurance ( quite impossible ) or even set up a business :) The bottom line is, I want to live the kind of life I like. 我要快乐!!!
Oh, anyway my new year resolution is .............
World Peace!!!! ( as if...)
basically hope that I can start to get started on my keyboard lesson ASAP. I simply cannot stand my life to be only working and working and working!!! I still hope to perform :) Anyone interested in taking up the lesson with me?

BBQ

Just had an X-clan BBQ last saturday-sunday. Wasn't a perfect outing: the weather was so bad the moment we reached there... rain so heavily.. Luckily it din last long... so we still managedto get our BBQ started.Quite a lot turned up and was qutie fun. And guess I'm too old, cannot stay awake for long le... could not take it around 5am... so took a short nap. And the rest are still energetically talking and crapping...I'm not that old right?

I managed to wake up and was waiting for the sun rise.... but it's too cloudy and the moment we knew it, the sky's already bright :(

Overall the outing was enjoyable, and it's good to meet up with those peeps every now and then so we won't lose contact :) But it's difficult coz everybody has got their own life now. So let's make sure we meet up at least once every few months k!

I'm Loving It!

Yeah... I used to drool over those superb big burgers such as Big Mac and many others from Burger King. I wanna have the feel of eating a burger that makes me stretch my mouth to the fullest! Hahah... Can imagine that on me right? But too bad ......I dun eat beef and all those burgers used beef patties...

But now..................

Introducing the MEGA MC SPICY!!!! Woohoo!!!
I'm LOVING IT!!!

Finally I get to eat a burger that makes me full:)

Anyway, has been a busy for the past 2 weeks... work and work and work and......work. But of course, I went to some places to relax. Really enjoyed the songs in Lunar, and i also remind me of ktv-ing:( It has been a long time since i last ktv-ed. Must go soon... Cannot take it le!!

First Pay
Got my first pay!! Yeah! At least the amount is enough to compensate for my disliking to reading journals….

Ever since working, I have been craving to go out to chill or relax… and my drinking skills improved!!! I’m very certain about it!! Finally I dun detest the taste of beer anymore. On the contrary, I kinda like it now… hahaha…

Though I’ve work barely a month, I almost went into depression as soon as I’ve started working…. It wasn’t a good feeling… I guess I’m too bored and used to the carefree life which I used to lead for the past few months. But now I ‘m better: starting to like my job more, starting to be more optimistic and most importantly, learning to mingle among the colleagues now. But must really thank those whom I’ve bee calling and complaining about my life, and helping me with my work in a way or another. At least I’ve an avenue to let out my frustrations. Thanks peeps.

Anyway I’m treating my family to dinner at the Singapore Flyer later :). Yeah Looking forward to it!!!

Updates

Guess that's working life. Wake up early in the morning at 6.45am, leave home by 7.15am, reach company at 8.20am, work till 6-7pm......

AND THAT"S GONNA BE THE LIFESTYLE FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How I wish my company can shift its site to Hougang , or at least Kovan.... then I dun have to take such a long time travelling about.

But anyway, this is possibly the most enriching in my entire life. :) Been learning a lot of stuffs, things that I've never heard of nor learnt in NTU, and I finally understand what they mean by steep learning curve... Guess that's something a researcher must have. Learning new things everyday can be tiring , but interesting as well.

I won't give up, just yet. New Chapter of Life Begins...

Joke of the Day

I was out today with Junpin and Wellian ( I finally knoe how to spell out ya name le!) to do some last minute shopping. Seems that now got quite a lot of sales going on :) Bought a jean and polo tee and also spent a fortune on food....Reminds me of Leona Lewis hits song:

" I Keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding MONEY!!!"

And just when we were on our way back home, Pin told me about a funny incident that happened in the CPF building... someone called in and they were discussing about her CPF contributions. These were their conversation:

Pin: " Can you tell me if your job is government-related coz there will be a difference in the CPF contribution?"

Caller: " Huh? I dunno whether my job is government related leh! How?"

Pin: " No problem. Can you tell me where are you working so I can help you check?"

Caller: "Sure! Kiddy Palace!"

Pin: *faintz*

Pubbing @ Lunar + Starting Work this Monday!!!

Oh btw, I'm starting my work this coming Monday!!! Wonder how my first day of work will be like....Excited and nervous at the same time. Hope everything turns out well for me!!!

And because of that, I'm trying to SQUEEZE everything I have in mind to be done within these few days. Pretty hard, but I'm working on it :) Went Lunar with Shujun, Glennis and Terence today. Today's music is like much better than last week. I guess it's the crowd.

Took some photos over there. And I swear I'll improve my drinking skills in future! Haha...

Every fry worth $0.10..

And I found someone whose drinking skills on par with me le!! And it's Terence!!!

ECP Cycling + Kite Flying

Went ECP with the X clan peeps : Summer, Glennis. Shujun and Terence. Wanted to cycle for the whole day initially, but the weather wasn't very accomodating... Started raining right after we rented our bikes. Sian-ed. But the good thing is, the rain stopped in about an hour or so, and we fully utilise the remaining 2 hours cycling around. And of all sudden, we decided to buy a kite and fly!! hahaha.. think the last time I flew a kite was during my primary school times.. Glennis bought a small kite and I decided to buy a big one. At the end of the day, only my kite managed to fly up HIGHHHHHHHHHHHHH into the sky :). Therefore the morale of the story is to fly a kite as big as possible! After which, we head to Carl's Junior for dinner and spent the rest of the time enjoying the night breeze at the beach. Well one good day spent :)
Anyway, we've booked a BBQ pit somewhere near late November. Lao Rens, remember to make yourself available on that day k!

Cycling in the 'MAO MAO ' rain
Excited Terence managed to fly the kite high up to the sky

Shujun quickly took over Terence's place, as though he flew the kite up...
And I did the same....

So did Glennis!!!

The string got entangled with a tree and we spent quite a while untying it

Both kite high up the sky, but the triangular kite could only withstand about 10 seconds..

Glennis seriously trying to fly her kite up, until she fell flat onto the ground....

Terence trying to eat up those people up!!!

Japan Trip - Part 5
Day 4 - Osaka (Shopping Day!!!)
Ok, today will be PURELY for shopping... hahaha... How can you not shop when you're in Japan? It's a shopping paradise man! Anyway to digress away, think I want to find a Japanese gal as wife le... the children all look damn cute and all will become 帅哥美女 in future. Any Japanese gal looking for Singapore male please find me...
Anyway, sorry to say that I firgot the name of that place in OSAKA le. But the moment we stepped out of the train station, we saw this huge relective ball at the centre of the concourse. And there were some very weird drawings on the floor. As we approached nearr to the ball, we realised that those drawings were actually inverted words so that it will reflect 'OSAKA' on the ball. Very nice.
After that we went straight to the shopping mall. The shopping district has covered walkway throughout. Basically it looks like a extremely high-class Bugis Street..... hmm... wait... think Bugis Street does not deserved to be compared with that of Japan... The first shop that welcomes us is the Hello Kitty palace.Though I dun have much to buy over there, the items are all very unique and pretty (and expensive too :( ) Seems that everything can be aasociated with Hello Kitty, from bags, to clothes, and even electronic gadgets. Think she must be the wealthiest cat in the world... too bad she cannot spend on food.... coz she doesn't have a mouth!!! ha.ha.ha.
We continued to shop around, and before we knew it, it Lunch Time!!! Just happened that Macdonald is beside us, so we decided to try out Japan's Mac and see what interesting burgers do they have. I think it's quite easy to guess one particular burger .....MC PORK :) Well, other than Mc Pork, they also have Ebi Burger (Mc Prawn) and also this burger with cheese hidden inside the chicken fillet ( just call it Mc Cheesy Chicken). Surpirsingly, Mac can be a place for people with tight budget :) Mc Pork only cost SGD1!!! Anway most of us bought about 2-3 burgers coz we're damn hungry. i bought like Mc Pork, 1 Ebi Burger and 1 Mc Cheesy Chicken. If you happen to go Japan, try the Mc Prawn. It's good! The funny thing about ordering food in Japan is that you always use finger to point on the food you want and act like a dumb so people will understand that you cannot understand Japanese. I still rememebr how I order my 3 burgers...
DKSM: " Sumimasan, ...er... (pointing to Ebi Burger)... Haik, haik... Ichi (meaning 1), (then repeat the step for the other 2 burgers)..Lucky Japanese are born courteous.. otherwise I will die there....
After lunch we continued our shopping trip, bougth quite a few stuffs from GLICO, such as extreme big sized and different flavours Porky. And we came across this very large toy shop. We went in to have a look and both Liang Yu and I were excited to see the range of Smurfs characters they have. I used to have some, but threw it away.. Kindda missed it now.. Anyway, Liang Yu bought a set of Jamming Smurfs and I bought a set of Education Smurfs. Btw, it's my birthday present from them.. hahaha.. so no need to pay so much. thanks guys:)
We shopped till dark and guess what we have for dinner? MAC Again!! hahaha...

Proof of us in Osaka!

Yes ! It's my first time, and definitely will be doing it more!! Haha... don't read too much into it. My blog is fit for all ages to read... I'm helping my brother to design a t-shirt for girls. The design is with reference to the Retro Strawberry Shortcake cereal. The t-shirt is stone-washed and the end product looks great to me :) And I heard from my brother that the sale was very good:) Heeheehahah...Come support me! Buy my t-shirt!! It can be purchased at Bugis Street Ministry of Style, or simply get it from me!!!
Available in yellow, white, blue and grey.

X Clan Senior Outing Session 1
It has been a long time since all of us met. Everyone are busy with their new life and adjusting to their working environment, though some of us are still idling around ( that includes me!! ). We had a lunch gathering at Vivocity Marche. Surprising few a number turned up, in fact all except Alan came. What surprised me is that my roomie also turned up, and so do Milton! It has been a great time spending our afternoon there, and the funny thing was, the lunch gathering started with everyone trying to update on one another's life, after which it became the traffic light game, and ridiculously it evolved into ghost telling session! haha really can talk anything under the sun!
Well, during the gathering I also managed to ask Milton about the company. I do have to admit that his organisation is pretty good . But I really cannot make up my mind. To me both organisation looks good and interesting. Haiz, k shall not talk about it again... Has been bothering me for a while le... Hope that I will make a wise choice.
Anyway, here are the pixs that we took during the gathering :) Enjoy!
The gals: Summer, Hong Zhen, Glennis and Eunice.

A total of 12 people attended the outing! Not bad for a start. Let's keep this outing going!

Decided
Ok decided to take up my first offer... think both companies are good, so the most important thing is to work in the field that i have interest in, and will enjoy 5, 10 or even 20 years down the road. So now I really got to make sure I work extremely hard to earn my scholarship. FIGHTING! Carnegie Mellon University here I come!
It's true, research has shown that I'm more suitable to be a researcher :)
In a Dilemma...

Haiz... so many things to be bothered about!! initially was thinking what job to take, then thinking when can i get a job. Now... deciding what job to take again...I dun want to be condemned by the company for breaching the contract...So which is important? Money or Prospect?... I dunno....

BAD DAY...

Met someone yesterday... and my whole day was spoilt.
